A clear and complete question is more likely to receive a fast, accurate, and helpful answer.
Follow this guide when posting a question on Ask Quiz Wallah.
1. Search Before Posting
Before asking a new question, search Ask Quiz Wallah using important words from your doubt.
Your question may already have a useful answer. Searching first:
- Saves time
- Gives you an immediate solution
- Prevents duplicate questions
- Keeps the community organised
If existing answers do not solve your doubt, you may ask a new question and explain what remains unclear.
2. Write a Clear Title
Your title should summarise the exact problem.
A good title helps knowledgeable community members quickly understand your question.
Avoid:
- Please help me
- Answer this
- Urgent question
- I have a doubt
- Solve it quickly
Better titles:
- Why is “senior to” correct instead of “senior than”?
- Find the error in this subject-verb agreement sentence
- How do I calculate compound interest for two years?
- What is the difference between “affect” and “effect”?
- Which article should be used before “honest person”?
Keep the title short, specific, and directly related to the question.
3. Include the Complete Question
Do not make other users guess what you are asking.
Include:
- The complete sentence, problem, or passage
- All answer choices
- Relevant instructions
- Any diagram, table, or information needed
- The name of the subject or topic
- The examination name when relevant
MCQ Format
Use this format when asking a multiple-choice question:
Question: Choose the correctly spelt word.
A) Accomodation
B) Accommodation
C) Acommodation
D) Accommadation
My attempt: I selected option A, but the answer key shows option B. Please explain the spelling.
This format makes the question easy to read and answer.
4. Explain Your Exact Doubt
Mention the specific part you do not understand.
Instead of writing:
I do not understand this.
Write:
I understand that the verb should agree with the subject, but I cannot identify the subject in this sentence. Please explain how to find it.
A precise doubt usually receives a precise answer.
5. Show What You Have Tried
Whenever possible, include your attempt.
Explain:
- Which option you selected
- Which method or rule you applied
- Where you became confused
- Why another answer seems possible
- What the answer key says
Showing your attempt helps contributors identify the exact misunderstanding and give a more useful explanation.
You do not need to be correct—Ask Quiz Wallah exists to help you learn.
6. Select the Correct Category and Tags
Choose the category that best matches your question.
Examples may include:
- English Grammar
- Vocabulary
- Mathematics
- Reasoning
- General Knowledge
- Current Affairs
- Banking
- SSC
- UPSC
- Defence Exams
- Teaching Exams
Add only relevant tags. Good categories and tags help your question reach people who understand the topic.
Do not add unrelated or popular tags merely to attract more views.
7. Add Context When Necessary
Some questions cannot be answered correctly without context.
Mention relevant details such as:
- Examination name and year
- Shift or paper, if known
- Chapter or topic
- The complete passage
- Instructions provided with the question
- The source, if relevant
- Whether you want a short answer or detailed explanation
For current affairs, official notices, or changing information, mention the relevant date.
8. Use Images Properly
You may upload a clear image when it is necessary to understand the question.
Before uploading:
- Crop unnecessary parts.
- Ensure the text is readable.
- Keep the image properly oriented.
- Hide personal or sensitive information.
- Add a written explanation with the image.
- Include the answer options in text where possible.
Do not upload blurred images, unrelated screenshots, complete copyrighted books, paid test series, private documents, phone numbers, or identification details.
A question containing only an unexplained image may be difficult to answer.
9. Format the Question for Easy Reading
Use short paragraphs, spacing, lists, and clear labels.
For an error-detection question, you may write:
Sentence:
The manager, along with his employees, were working late at night.
My doubt:
Should “were working” be replaced with “was working”? Please explain which word controls the verb.
Clear formatting helps other users understand your question without reading it several times.
10. Use Understandable Language
You may ask questions in English, Hindi, Hinglish, or another language supported by the community.
Whichever language you choose:
- Write clearly.
- Avoid unnecessary abbreviations.
- Check important spellings.
- Do not write the entire question in capital letters.
- Avoid excessive emojis or punctuation.
- Use respectful language.
Perfect grammar is not required. Clarity is more important.
11. Ask One Main Question at a Time
Avoid combining several unrelated doubts in one post.
If you have questions about grammar, mathematics, and current affairs, create separate posts for each.
One focused question:
- Is easier to understand
- Attracts more relevant answers
- Helps future visitors find the solution
- Keeps discussions organised
Closely related sub-questions may be included together when they depend on the same passage or problem.
12. Be Respectful and Patient
Community members answer voluntarily and may need time to respond.
Do not:
- Demand an immediate answer
- Repeatedly post the same question
- Insult someone for giving an incorrect answer
- Contact users repeatedly
- Offer or request votes in exchange for answers
- Post abusive comments when you disagree
If an answer appears incorrect, explain the issue politely and provide reliable evidence where possible.
13. Do Not Ask for Live-Exam Cheating
Ask Quiz Wallah supports learning and preparation, not cheating.
Do not request or share:
- Answers during a live or proctored examination
- Leaked examination papers
- Confidential test content
- Methods for bypassing examination rules
- Services that impersonate a candidate
You may ask about previous-year questions, mock tests, practice papers, and publicly released examination material.
14. Do Not Share Personal Information
Never include sensitive information in a public question.
Do not post:
- Passwords or OTPs
- Phone numbers
- Personal email addresses
- Full residential addresses
- Bank or card details
- Government identification numbers
- Private documents
- Another person’s personal information
For account-related problems, contact support@quizwallah.com instead of posting private details publicly.
15. Do Not Copy Without Permission
You may quote a limited portion of a source when necessary for a genuine educational question, but you should mention the source where possible.
Do not post:
- Complete paid PDFs
- Entire books or chapters
- Paid test series
- Pirated courses
- Copyrighted images without permission
- Another person’s work as your own
Giving credit does not automatically make unauthorised copying lawful.
