Copyright and DMCA Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Ask Quiz Wallah, available at https://ask.quizwallah.com, respects the intellectual-property rights of authors, educators, publishers, creators, institutions, and other rights holders.

Ask Quiz Wallah is part of the Quiz Wallah network, which also includes https://quizwallah.com.

This Copyright and DMCA Policy explains how copyright owners may report allegedly infringing content and how affected users may respond.

1. Respect for Copyright

Users may publish questions, answers, comments, images, links, files, and other educational materials on Ask Quiz Wallah.

Users must submit only content that:

  • They created themselves;
  • They are legally permitted to use;
  • Is available under a suitable licence; or
  • May lawfully be used for quotation, criticism, review, reporting, teaching, research, or another recognised exception.

Users must not upload, reproduce, or distribute copyrighted content without permission when permission is legally required.

2. Prohibited Copyright Infringement

Users must not publish or distribute:

  • Complete copyrighted books or paid e-books;
  • Paid courses, test series, notes, or study materials;
  • Pirated PDFs, videos, software, or applications;
  • Leaked or unlawfully obtained examination materials;
  • Photographs, illustrations, or graphics copied without permission;
  • Articles or explanations copied and presented as original work;
  • Content that removes or conceals ownership information;
  • Links intended to provide unauthorised access to copyrighted material.

Providing attribution does not automatically make unauthorised copying lawful.

3. Ownership of User Content

Users retain ownership of the original content they create and submit.

By publishing content on Ask Quiz Wallah, users grant Quiz Wallah the permissions described in our Terms and Conditions, including permission to host, display, format, distribute, and make that content available through the Quiz Wallah network.

Users remain responsible for ensuring that their submissions do not infringe another person’s copyright or intellectual-property rights.

4. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or an authorised representative and believe that content on Ask Quiz Wallah infringes your rights, send a written copyright complaint to:

Email: support@quizwallah.com
Subject: Copyright Infringement Notice

Your notice should contain all of the following information:

  1. Your full legal name and contact information.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. The exact URL of each page containing the allegedly infringing material.
  4. A clear description of the material you want us to review or remove.
  5. Evidence showing that you own the copyrighted work or are authorised to act for its owner.
  6. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
  7. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  8. Your physical or electronic signature.

Providing screenshots and links to the original work may help us review your complaint more efficiently.

5. DMCA Notices

Where the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act applies, a takedown notice should substantially comply with the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

A valid DMCA notice generally requires:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work;
  • Identification and location of the allegedly infringing material;
  • The complainant’s contact information;
  • A good-faith statement concerning unauthorised use;
  • A statement of accuracy and authority made under penalty of perjury; and
  • A physical or electronic signature.

Sending an incomplete notice may delay our ability to review or act upon it.

6. What Happens After We Receive a Notice

After receiving a sufficiently complete copyright complaint, we may:

  • Acknowledge receipt of the complaint;
  • Review the identified material;
  • Request additional information or evidence;
  • Temporarily restrict access while reviewing the matter;
  • Remove or disable access to the disputed content;
  • Notify the user who submitted the content;
  • Preserve relevant records where legally required;
  • Restore the content if the complaint is withdrawn or successfully challenged;
  • Take action against repeat infringers.

Removal of content does not mean that Quiz Wallah accepts liability or confirms that infringement occurred.

We may decline to act on notices that are incomplete, unclear, fraudulent, abusive, or unrelated to copyright.

7. Counter-Notification

If your content was removed or restricted because of a copyright complaint and you believe that the action resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.

Send it to:

Email: support@quizwallah.com
Subject: Copyright Counter-Notification

Your counter-notification should include:

  1. Your full legal name and contact information.
  2. Identification of the content that was removed or restricted.
  3. The exact URL where the content previously appeared.
  4. A clear explanation of why you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification.
  5. Evidence showing that you created the content, had permission to use it, or were otherwise legally entitled to publish it.
  6. Any declarations, consent to jurisdiction, or acceptance of service of process required by applicable law.
  7. A statement made under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
  8. Your physical or electronic signature.

Where legally appropriate, we may forward the counter-notification to the original complainant.

The content may be restored if the complainant does not begin appropriate legal proceedings within the period required by applicable law. Restoration remains subject to our Terms and Conditions and Community Guidelines.

8. Repeat Infringer Policy

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously infringe copyright.

We may also act against users who:

  • Repeatedly upload removed material;
  • Attempt to bypass copyright restrictions;
  • Use multiple accounts to continue infringement;
  • Submit fraudulent copyright notices or counter-notifications;
  • Intentionally misuse the reporting process.

The appropriate action will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

9. Misrepresentation and False Claims

Do not knowingly submit false, misleading, or fraudulent copyright notices or counter-notifications.

A person who materially misrepresents that content is infringing—or that removed content was removed by mistake—may be responsible for resulting damages, costs, or legal consequences.

If you are unsure whether content infringes copyright, consider obtaining independent legal advice before submitting a formal notice.

10. Fair Dealing, Fair Use and Educational Exceptions

Some uses of copyrighted material may be permitted by law for purposes such as:

  • Teaching and education;
  • Research and private study;
  • Criticism and review;
  • Reporting current events;
  • Quotation and commentary;
  • Parody or transformative use.

Whether an exception applies depends on the content, amount used, purpose, market effect, jurisdiction, and surrounding circumstances.

Quiz Wallah does not determine users’ legal rights and cannot provide legal advice. Users remain responsible for ensuring that their use of third-party material is lawful.

11. Trademark and Other Intellectual-Property Complaints

This policy primarily concerns copyright.

For complaints involving trademarks, impersonation, privacy, counterfeit materials, or other intellectual-property rights, contact:

Email: support@quizwallah.com
Subject: Intellectual Property Complaint

Clearly identify the right involved, the disputed content, and the action you are requesting.

12. Quiz Wallah Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Quiz Wallah name, Ask Quiz Wallah name, logos, branding, website design, software, original graphics, databases, and original educational materials are owned by or licensed to Quiz Wallah.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, sell, distribute, or use these materials commercially without prior written permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

Nothing on the platform grants users ownership of Quiz Wallah’s trademarks, branding, software, or other protected materials.

13. Changes to This Policy

Any revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
